Pineapple Dole Whip?

There's only three places that have this: Disneyland, Hawaii, & Stricklands.

Name: Stricklands.

Location: Irvine, CA.

What are they known for: Having the freshest homemade ice cream.

Price: Fairly cheap for the amount of ice cream you get.

Throughout my freshmen year of college, my friends and I have stopped by this place very often. It's down the street from my school & simply amazing. Today I took my friend for her first time. She tried a sample of the vanilla ice cream, which is creamy and not super sweet. They only have about 4 flavors a day so you know the ice cream is always fresh. One time I tried a sample of their chocolate cayenne pepper flavor, man that was punch of sweet & spice. My friend ordered a vanilla and I ordered the pineapple Dole whip. Like I said, I only knew of two other places that had this flavor, so I was so glad when I found it here. If you never have had pineapple Dole whip before you must stop by here, Disneyland, or fly to hawaii.

A small size cup, which was what I got is about $3, so already it's pretty cheap (they give you a lot of ice cream so don't think the portions are small). But also I had a coupon! Being a student we get these Dollar Stretchers & Grub Stubs. They are little booklets with tons of coupons, and in one of them I found a 50% off any ice cream or Dole whip. Amazing! So even if you don't go to Irvine, I'm sure that in your local community there are discount books or even regular discounts for students (did I forget to mention that at Stricklands students get a 10% off?). So go search around for student discounts and coupon books, because they are well worth the time and in the end you'll not only get a good meal but a great deal.
