I’ve been to Denny’s & IHOP many times before and each time I was not satisfied; the food is dry, greasy, and unappetizing. I’ve heard of Kimmie’s a couple times so one day my friend and I decided to go check it out. The restaurant is pretty small so there might be a wait.

Unsure on what to get, I asked the waitress what’s good and she told me to try the country-fried steak, so I did. If you do not know what to order, ask the waiters since they know what’s popular and tasty. The country-fried steak came with two eggs, sautéed onions/bell peppers/ potatoes, and biscuits with gravy. It cost about $9. My friend ordered a grilled cheese on sourdough that came with French fries; that came to a total of about $6. I thought the portions would be small, but once our plates came out we understood why people enjoy Kimmie’s so much. It was a lot of food. The grilled cheese was super cheesy and the steak was delicious with the gravy on top.

The service was excellent. Even though there was only one waitress for the whole place she was able to accommodate everyone’s needs. Kimmie’s reminds me of a house out in the country, small and cozy. Also if you’re not a fan of breakfast food they also have burgers and sandwiches. Overall I really liked Kimmie’s and would recommend it to anyone who lives nearby. I was not able to find any coupons, but I heard that if you live in Fullerton you can find some special deals in the Clippers Weekly magazine, and also you can search online on their website. Kimmie’s is a local favorite and now I know why, it’s has a good breakfast meal that’s affordable at a good deal.

A side note to add, Kimmie’s opens early in the morning and closes early. I believe they close at 2 PM almost everyday, so you might want to get there a little early.
